We operate within a very strict framework both for compliance and for the safety of funds in our custody. We are also licensed and regulated in Hong Kong and Indonesia.

How can I start to use Wallex for my business?

I've just registered on Wallex, how long until I'm able to make a transaction?

What documents do I need for my onboarding?

As a Singapore incorporated entity, here are the key documents you'll need:

  • ACRA Company Profile
  • NRICs/Passport and proof of address of all the Ultimate Beneficial Owners and users
  • Shareholder entity information (if the shareholder is a corporate)
  • Signed copy of User Authorisation Form

Foreign entities will require the addition of:

  • Incorporation Documents
  • NRICs/Passport of Directors

Please note that the documents needed will also depend on where your business is incorporated and which is the relevant Wallex entity you are transacting with. A Corporate Profile of the company as well as the identifying documents of the shareholders is usually the starting point. We may require more documents as well depending on the nature of the business.

What documents do I need to verify my identity?

A proof of identity document (either a national ID document or passport). Please refer to the requirements listed on your onboarding screen where the acceptable types of documents are listed.

Can multiple people use my account?

No. If there is a need for multiple users, please add them to your company's account as additional users.

What does Wallex's remittance app Xip do for my business?

Wallex Xip empowers your business in going from offline to online remittances by providing a fully digital suite of FX and payments services that you can integrate into your tech stack.

How do I fund my payments?

You can fund your payments by transferring money from your business's bank account to your Wallex business account.

Will the recipient receive the full amount?

This depends on your selection of fee option. Selecting the SHA option means all fees are shared. If you want the recipient to receive the amount in full, select OUR - where you, the sender, bear all the charges.

Why do I need to specify where my money came from?

As Wallex is a licensed Major Payment Institution and there is a need to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, we need to know the origins of your money in order to comply with the necessary regulations.

Can I make a transfer without supporting documents?

If your account has not completed onboarding and the requisite KYC checks, you will be unable to make any transfers. Please complete onboarding as soon as possible so that you may effect your transfers.

What if my payment does not go through?

Your funds will be returned to your account in the unlikely event that the transaction does not go through.

Yes, Wallex allows you to make payments to multiple beneficiaries with our bulk payments feature. You can pay up to 200 beneficiaries with 47 currencies in one go.

What are the currencies I can collect?

Yes. Once you have a Wallex account set up, you can activate your global collection account with a single click.

How do I open a Collections account?

Can I receive an incoming bank transfer to my Wallex account?

How long does it take to receive a fund transfer in the Collections account?

This depends on the type of channel your sender chooses. Transfers made via the Local channel can be completed in minutes.

What happens if I miss the guaranteed rate period?
